Abstract :
The study examines the effectiveness of value education strategies among Grade 7 students using the JoyfulTalisman philosophical framework on human values through action research. Fifty-two students in grade seven from a section were selected. The five pillars of the JoyfulTalisman philosophy were taught through a variety of methods, including guided meditation, web of connections, reflective drawing, film-based discussions, classroom clean-ups, joy box initiatives, gratitude cards and group performances. A pre-test and a post-test were used to analyse students’ conceptual understanding of the topic; later, student observations and reflections showcased behavioural change. The findings showed that kindness, empathy, cooperation and volunteerism have improved. Responsibility was still growing. Collaborative efforts and experiential learning made value education impactful, enabling students to apply values in their daily lives.
